About this course

An online certificate program in Yogic Science & Lifestyle, designed for holistic health, with new learning cohorts opening every month. The course guides students toward balance, clarity, and steady energy through a structured foundation in yoga philosophy, asana, pranayama, relaxation, and daily yogic living. Every module is self-paced and beginner-friendly, taught in plain language, with short practices you can fit into an ordinary day. Work through all six modules and pass each module quiz to become eligible for your certificate.

What you'll learn

  • Explain what yoga is, where it comes from, and the eight limbs of Patanjali's system
  • Practise a safe, alignment-led set of foundational asanas for the whole body
  • Breathe with control using diaphragmatic breathing, ujjayi and nadi shodhana

Curriculum

  1. 1

    Foundations of Yoga

    What yoga is, its aims and scope, a short history from the Vedas to the modern mat, and the eight limbs of Patanjali.

  2. 2

    Yogic Anatomy & Safe Practice

    How the spine, breath and core move in yoga; joint safety and common injuries; setting up your space, props and habits.

  3. 3

    The Breath: Pranayama Foundations

    Prana and the mechanics of breathing, diaphragmatic breathing and ujjayi, and alternate-nostril breathing with simple ratios.

  4. 4

    Asana I: Standing Poses & Balance

    Tadasana and alignment principles, the warrior family, and standing balances such as tree pose.

  5. 5

    Asana II: Floor, Forward Bends & Gentle Backbends

    Cat-cow, downward dog and the sun salutation, seated folds and twists, and gentle backbends.

  6. 6

    Relaxation, Meditation & Yogic Lifestyle

    Savasana and yoga nidra, beginning meditation, and building a daily yogic routine (dinacharya).

Requirements

  • No prior yoga experience required
  • A quiet space roughly the size of a yoga mat
  • A mat, and optionally two blocks and a strap or belt
  • About 3-4 hours per week for practice and study
  • Medical clearance if you are pregnant, recovering from injury, or managing a health condition
